Young campaigners for Votes at 16 ran a stall at the first ever Westminster Village Youth Fete held on 11th May. The day was a traditional English fair held in order to highlight the vital work of youth charities and allow MPs, Lord and civil servants to have some fun!

Westminster Village Youth fete logoYoung campaigners were there to promote the campaign – giving away Votes at 16 goodie bags to those lucky enough to win on their fete game!

The event, opened by Baroness Hayman, The Lords’ Speaker, included traditional fete activities like morris dancing, Punch and Judy, and welly wanging, and also a Speaker’s Corner – an area for open-air public speaking, debate and discussion.
